Pennisetum alopecuroides is a charming and perennial variety of ornamental grass.

With its compact growth habit and playful, brush-like flowers, this variety is an excellent choice for both larger flower beds and border plantings.

It is well known for being both easy to grow and low-maintenance, which we at Florea see as a big plus.

Beautiful when combined with lower perennials or other ornamental grasses, and the delicate brush-like flowers work wonderfully in bouquets!

Care and cultivation advice

The variety is planted out directly on site but can also be grown up earlier indoors in a pot and then planted out when all risk of frost is over. Plant 7-8 cm into the soil and water reYellowarly but sparingly.

Alopecuroides should be pruned annually at the end of March to a height of about 20 cm.
