Description
An incredibly and magically preserved cultural heritage from 1902.

A charming eggplant variety with fabulous large oval-shaped purple-black fruits.

This variety is very reliable, vigorous, and easy to grow.

The plant is also very decorative with its green charming velvety-colored leaves.

The flesh is white and firm with an incredibly delicious taste.

The variety is great for grilling or using in dips, stews, and casseroles. The fibers in eggplant take up a lot of space in the stomach and make us feel full for longer.

This makes the eggplant an incredible resource in many households around the world.

The variety also contains high levels of B vitamins, water, and minerals but also helps keep cholesterol levels in check. Many people know that eggplant is a very useful vegetable in the kitchen, and at Florea, it's a recurring favorite in the kitchen.

Therefore, we want to share some of our favorite recipes for Black Beauty with you.

Mozzarella-gratinated eggplant with pesto, grilled eggplant with feta salsa, and sourdough toast with eggplant, tomato, and parmesan. This variety is also organic!

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivate indoors in seed soil, one seed per seed pot. Cover the sowing with transparent cover with air holes for best germination results, but it also works without it. Before germination, the sowing should be kept at a temperature around 22-25°C and after germination, the seedlings should be kept cool and as bright as possible. Use plant lighting to get thick and lush plants. If the roots start to emerge from the bottom of the seed pot, it's time to replant them in larger pots, but use planting soil or vegetable soil. For best results, the plants should be topped at a height of 25 cm, then let 2-4 side shoots grow.

Eggplant plants should be transplanted when they have been properly hardened and the risk of frost is over. The variety thrives best in a warm and sheltered corner with rich and fertile soil. It also works great to plant the variety in a pot if you choose a slightly larger model. Make sure to water reYellowarly and to give the plants nutrients from time to time.

The variety can also be sown directly in the planting area if the soil has reached 15°C, in that case, make sure to cover the sowing with a fiber cloth at first.
