Alba produces flowers that are 5-7 cm in size and looks exceptionally beautiful in slightly smaller bouquets.

At Florea, we often plant this variety in the forefront of taller summer flowers.

Another favorite is growing them in pots! A big favorite among all pollinators!

Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly at the planting site when the soil is warmed up. Make sure to water the soil thoroughly before sowing and keep it moist during the entire germination period. For best results, choose a sunny planting site and sow sparsely or thin out for stronger plants. The California Poppy is an incredibly grateful summer flower that thrives in most soils, but it prefers slightly leaner soil.

If you want to pre-cultivate this variety indoors, use sowing soil and keep it constantly moist. Place the sowing in a warm place before the seeds germinate and in a slightly cooler place when the plants have started to emerge from the soil. Then plant them out when the risk of frost is over.

Can also be sown in the fall for bloom the following year. Sow directly in the soil before the frost comes.
