Description
You don't want to miss this lovely variety if you're a fan of California Poppies.

The beautiful raspberry-like color of the petals transitions to a light and meringue-like color at the very center.

Thai Silk Rose Chiffon produces single to semi-double flowers that are equally beautiful in a bouquet as they are in a summery flower bed.

This variety is an easy-to-grow summer flower that is highly favored by all our pollinators. It lives up to its name as it takes slightly longer to open up in the morning than other summer flowers, but those who wait for something good never wait too long.

Because once the California Poppy gets going for the day, it blooms unbeatably and gracefully all the way until the evening sneaks in.

Then it closes its beautiful petals in anticipation of the next day.

Care and cultivation advice

Directly sow on the planting site when the soil has warmed up. Make sure to water the soil thoroughly before sowing and keep it moist throughout the germination period. For best results, choose a sunny planting site and sow thinly or thin out for stronger plants. The California Poppy is an incredibly grateful summer flower that thrives in most soils, but does best in slightly poorer soil.

If you want to pre-grow this variety indoors, use seed soil and make sure to keep it constantly moist. Place the seeds in a warm location before they germinate and in a slightly cooler location when the plants start to emerge from the soil. Then transplant them outside when the risk of frost has passed.

(Continuously remove wilted flowers for a longer and more magnificent blooming).

Can also be sown in the fall for bloom the following year. Sow directly in the soil before the frost comes.
