Description
An old and well-known sugar pea variety with a refreshing taste and sweetness.

The beautiful green pods are excellent for cooking, but are also very appetizing to eat straight from the plant or to use in salads.

The variety also blooms incredibly beautifully with its large, beautiful pink-purple flowers, making it a charming sight in the garden. We highly recommend a sugar pea salad this summer with feta cheese, olive oil, oregano, and a little salt and pepper.

Another lovely suggestion with this variety is to make a creamy sugar pea soup with a dollop of sour cream or creme fraiche.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow outdoors as soon as the soil is workable. The variety thrives in rich and well-drained soil. Soak the seeds for a few hours before sowing, water the soil thoroughly before sowing and make sure to keep the seedlings moist throughout the germination period. The variety needs support to grow on. It's recommended to change the location for the peas each year as they fertilize and improve the soil.
