The seeds actually in the bag are 'Sungold'. A low and decorative sunflower variety that is excellent for borders and plantings.

The flowers are golden yellow and completely double, which sets them apart from other varieties.

A happy and charming variety that with its unique appearance is very suitable for bouquets or by itself in a vase.

Care and cultivation advice

Indoor sow in March-April in planting soil, one seed per pot. Try to keep the sowing at 20-25 degrees Celsius before and after germination, keep the pot in a bright and cool place. If the roots start to grow out of the bottom of the pot, it's time to transplant them to a larger one.

The plants are ready to be planted outdoors when they have been properly hardened off and the risk of frost has passed. Sunflowers prefer a sunny location and plenty of space. They thrive in nutrient-rich soil and for really tall sunflowers, we recommend fertilizing and providing nutrients during the growing season.

The variety can also be sown directly in the planting site in May-June, but this results in a slightly later blooming.
