Description
Let us introduce 'Strawflower - Silvery White', a very welcome addition to the eternelle family at Florea.

The variety gets lots of large paper-like flowers in different shapes and sizes depending on how long they sit on the plant.

A magical bouquet component but which is just as beautiful solo in a catch thanks to the white shimmering color.

The wonderful thing about Strawflowers is that they can also be dried and Silvery White is no exception, it is harvested and hung upside down for best drying results. Our cultivation expert Johanna Damm always grows this at home in at least one pallet collar preferably two because she uses them both in fresh bouquets and also dries lots to use for wreaths and eternity bouquets later in the year.

She also usually cuts off the flowers when they have dried to use for slightly fancier dinner table settings.

She then reuses these several times throughout the year by putting all the flowers in a jar or box.

Sustainable, beautiful and much appreciated.

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivated indoors April-May in sowing soil. Cover the seed with a transparent cover provided with air holes for the best germination results, but it also works without it. When the seeds germinate, the seed needs to be in light and plant lighting can be used in darker areas. The plants can be planted out when the risk of frost is over. Just like all young plants, this variety needs to be protected from strong spring sun. So let the plant stand for shorter periods in the sun for the first few days so that it can acclimatize!

This variety can also be sown directly when the soil is properly warmed up. Make sure the soil is moist during the germination period.)

The flowers can be dried, keep in mind that they should be dried when they have just bloomed for best results.
