Fertilize often throughout the season and make sure the plants are placed in a sunny or semi-shaded location when planted outside. In the southern parts of Sweden, it is possible to sow directly outdoors, otherwise, it is necessary to start pre-cultivation indoors (around Feb-March) to give the seed enough time to grow strong before planting.\n\nThe seeds should be placed about 2 cm deep and prefer bright conditions and moist soil, so remember to water regularly. Try to give the plant extra warmth at the beginning, ideally around 20-25 degrees. When the broccoli has started to emerge, it likes slightly cooler temperatures but it is still important to have bright conditions. For indoor pre-cultivation, we recommend using a plant lamp.\n\nThe perfect time to harvest broccoli is around July-October depending on the variety. A tip is to only cut off the top shoot and let the plant develop several side shoots that you can harvest later.
