Description
NOTE.

Pre-order only, delivery in early September

Salmon Impression is a Darwin tulip in soft shades of pink and apricot.

Growing to about 60 cm tall, it makes a striking statement in the garden.

The flowers are large and egg-shaped, held on strong stems that allow them to last a long time.

Despite their sturdiness, it's a good idea to avoid planting them in overly exposed areas, as their height makes them vulnerable to strong winds.

A truly stunning variety that quickly became a favourite here at Florea for the way it stands out in the spring garden.

Choosing organic bulbs is not only good for your garden – it’s also better for the environment.

Organic cultivation means no chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilisers are used, which helps protect pollinators like bees and butterflies and supports healthy, living soil.

It contributes to a toxin-free environment and promotes biodiversity.

While the range of organic flower bulbs on the market is still relatively small, it’s something we at Florea are actively working to expand.

We believe that small, thoughtful choices in the garden can make a big difference – for nature, for pollinators, and for the future.

Care and cultivation advice

You can plant your tulip bulbs from September until about a week before the ground freezes. For best results, plant the bulbs as soon as possible after you receive them. If that’s not possible, we recommend storing them in a cool, dark, and dry place until planting.

Tulip bulbs prefer well-drained soil. They can also be planted in pots—just make sure to use a frost-proof container with drainage holes. To protect the bulbs from freezing in winter, place the pot in a sheltered spot and cover it with insulating material.

For tulip bulbs to start growing, they need a continuous period of cold (below 9°C / 48°F), which is why we plant them in the autumn. When spring arrives and the soil warms up, the tulips begin to emerge. Most varieties bloom beautifully in April–May.
