Description

‘Guardian Lavender’ is an elegant delphinium that produces tall, dense spires of semi-double flowers in soft lavender blue and reaches a height of around 90-100 centimetres.

The series has been developed to bloom earlier and to produce stronger stems than many older varieties.

This makes it especially hardy both in the border and as a cut flower.The flowers are closely spaced along the sturdy stems and create a beautiful, airy impression in the garden.

‘Guardian Lavender’ is a perennial that faithfully returns year after year when it thrives, and it suits both classic plantings and more wild, naturalistic styles.”

Care and cultivation advice

Propagated indoors in seed soil January-April. Make sure to moisten the soil before sowing and cover with a thin layer of soil. Then cover the seed with a transparent cover with air holes for best germination results. After germination, the seed should be placed in a cool place with as much light as possible.

The plants are then planted out once they have hardened off properly and the risk of frost has passed. Larkspur thrives best in a sunny spot in moisture-retaining and nutrient-rich soil.

This variety can also be sown directly on the site when the soil is warmed up and ready for use. Make sure to water the soil well before sowing and keep it moist throughout the germination period. The variety can also be sown outdoors in the fall for earlier flowering the following year.
