Care and cultivation advice

This variety is sown directly on the planting site when the soil is warm and workable. Alternatively, it can be sown in the fall for an earlier harvest. Make sure to water before sowing and keep the soil moist throughout the germination period. Noordhollandse Bloedrode is sown repeatedly for an abundant supply throughout the season.

The variety can also be pre-grown indoors in seed soil in March-April. Cover the sowing with transparent covering with air holes for optimal germination. The plants are then planted outside when they have been hardened off and the risk of frost is over. Water in case of drought and harvest as needed.

It is advisable to alternate the planting site from year to year with this variety!
