Description
A fairy-tale poppy variety in a beautiful white dress that looks incredibly stunning in gardens and wilder plantings.

The white beauty is incredibly popular among our pollinators and a true summer classic in cottage gardens.

It is lovely to plant together with other summer flowers and creates magic with its beautiful but genuine simplicity as the fancy flowers move in the wind. Opium poppy, also known as feather poppy, is a beloved cultivated plant that belongs to the poppy family and has been known since ancient times.

It probably comes from the eastern Mediterranean region but is now found all over the world. This is a favorite of our ambassador Uncle Green! (This variety should not be eaten as it can be toxic)

Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly on the planting site when the soil has warmed up and is workable. Make sure to water the soil before sowing and keep the soil moist during the entire germination period.

Corn poppy can also be sown in the fall for earlier blooming. The variety thrives best in calcareous and well-drained soil. It can also grow in less nutrient-rich soils but will not be as robust and vigorous.

(This variety self-seeds easily!) (This variety is not edible as it can be toxic)
