This variety is of incredibly high quality and produces abundant harvests throughout the season. Snap peas are a charming cross between sugar peas and snow peas.

Snap peas have inherited the best qualities of both parent types, which means the sugar pea's crispness and the snow pea's good aroma.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow outdoors as soon as the soil is warm and workable. The variety thrives best in rich and well-drained soil.

Soak the seeds for a few hours before sowing and make sure to water the soil thoroughly before sowing. Scatter the seeds and also ensure that the seedlings are kept moist throughout the germination period. This variety needs support to grow and spread. Trellises, arches, or stakes are some options. It also works great to make your own supports by weaving twigs or wicker between poles.

It's recommended to change the location for the peas each year as they fertilize and improve the soil.
