Description
A decorative and charming sunflower variety with intense sun-orange petals and a dark center.

It makes for a fantastic cut flower that looks great in bouquets.

This happy and cheerful variety is also very decorative in flowerbeds or against a fence.

The seeds are edible, as well as the flower buds. Our tip at Florea is to fry the flower buds with some butter and serve them as an appetizer or a summery side dish at a barbecue.

It's both beautiful and delicious at the same time! This variety is also loved by all of our pollinators and birds.

Care and cultivation advice

Start the seeds indoors in March-April using planting soil, one seed per pot. Try to maintain a temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius before germination and cool and bright conditions after germination. If the roots start to show at the bottom of the pots, it's time to transplant them to larger pots.

The plants can be planted outside when they have been hardened off properly and the risk of frost has passed. Sunflowers prefer a sunny location with plenty of space for their roots. They thrive in nutrient-rich planting soil and for particularly tall sunflowers, we recommend fertilizing and providing nutrients during the growing season.

The variety can also be directly sown into the ground in May-June, but this results in slightly later blooming.
