Beloved Didiscus, also known as 'blue parasol' by many, is a wonderful summer flower that suits many purposes.

Beautiful to have in flower beds and pots, but also magnificent as a filler flower in all summer bouquets.

The delightful blue color, with a hint of soft lavender, is hard to resist.

The fluffy, cloud-like flower provides an ethereal touch in both flower beds and bouquets. Lace Blue is incredibly popular among all our pollinators and is a fantastic attraction for a kitchen garden or other types of plantings.

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivate indoors in seed soil from March to April. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and/or vermiculite, and keep in mind that the seeds require darkness to germinate. When the seeds have sprouted, place the sowings in a cool location with as much light as possible. Use planting lights in darker locations.

Plant out in a sunny location when the risk of frost is over. Just like all young plants, this variety needs to be protected from strong spring sun. So let the plant stand for shorter periods in the sun for the first few days so that it can acclimatize!

This variety can also be sown directly in the planting area when the soil is thoroughly warmed up.
