Carrot - Yellowstone
Seed·Daucus carota
- In stock
Description
The carrot ‘Yellowstone’ is a bright yellow variety that adds both color and sweetness to the garden. It produces long, uniform roots with juicy flesh and a mild, rounded flavor that makes it appreciated both raw and cooked. Its golden-yellow color runs all the way through, making it especially decorative in salads, vegetable mixes, and warm dishes.
Recipe tip for Yellowstone purée:Peel and slice the carrots, then boil them in lightly salted water until tender. Drain the water and blend the carrots together with a knob of butter, a splash of cream, and a little grated lemon zest. Season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg. The result is a smooth, golden-yellow purée with a gentle sweetness that pairs beautifully with grilled fish, chicken, or lamb. Delicious!
