Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly in the growing location once the soil has warmed up and is ready for planting. Make sure to water the soil before sowing and keep it moist throughout the germination period.

Corn poppy can also be sown in the fall for earlier flowering. The variety thrives best in calcareous, well-drained soil. It can also grow in more nutrient-poor soils, but will not be quite as vigorous and lush.
