Statice ‘Qis Rose’ is a beautiful summer flower valued both fresh and dried.

The variety belongs to the well-known Qis series, bred for uniform plants with abundant flowering and strong stems.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow indoors in seed soil in March-April, preferably cover the seed with a transparent cover with air holes for best germination results. Store the seedlings at room temperature before germination and after germination in a cool and bright place. The plants are transplanted to one plant per pot in fertilized soil when they are large enough to handle.

Plant out when they have hardened off properly and the risk of frost is over. Thrives best in a sunny spot in sandy soil. Fertilize sparingly during the season.

Rice can also be sown directly on the site but should be pre-grown for better results.

(For drying the flowers, they should be harvested before the flowers are fully developed)
