Description

The zinnia Benary Giant White is an impressive yet softly beautiful variety that truly lives up to its name.

The blooms are enormous, reaching up to twelve centimeters in diameter, with densely layered petals in pure white that light up the garden both in daylight and at dusk.

Care and cultivation advice

Propagate indoors in seed soil March-April, preferably covered with a transparent cover with air holes. Make sure to water before sowing and keep the soil moist throughout the germination period. Before germination, the seedlings should be stored at a temperature of 20-25 degrees and after germination in a cool place with as much light as possible.

The plants are planted out after they have hardened off properly and when the risk of frost is over. Thrives best in a sunny position in well-fertilized and well-drained soil. The variety can also be sown directly on the site in May-June, when the soil is warmed and ready for use.

For a longer and more splendid flowering period, regularly trim the edges of wilted flowers. Cut a few millimeters above the top pair of leaves on the stem where the flower is located. This encourages new flowering and growth.
