Description
A nice and delicate mini-cucumber for cultivation in a greenhouse, warm protected outdoor locations, or for indoor cultivation on a windowsill.

The cucumbers grow to about 10 cm in size with a smooth skin and are resistant to powdery mildew.

The variety is easy to grow and yields a rich harvest without needing to be pollinated. This variety is perfect for container gardening and does not require as much space for its roots as other cucumber varieties, which is why it is called the apartment cucumber in common parlance.

If you have access to plant lighting, this variety can be grown year-round.

Imagine how cool it would be to harvest your own cucumber in November or February when summer feels distant and longed for. The variety is excellent for eating fresh, pickling, or using in salads.

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivate indoors in planting soil or vegetable soil, and make sure to cover with transparent covering equipped with air holes, or use a mini greenhouse for best results. Planting one seed in each small seedling pot is the easiest, but it is also possible to sow several seeds in a larger pot and then move them to one plant per pot when they have grown a bit.

Make sure to water the soil thoroughly before planting. Place the sowing at about 25 degrees Celsius before germination, and around 16-20 degrees Celsius after germination. After germination, the plants also thrive in as much light as possible, preferably in a sunny window or under plant lighting.

The plants benefit from being transplanted once during indoor cultivation. This means that when the roots start to appear on the bottom of the pot, it is time to move it to a slightly larger pot. When the roots appear on the bottom of the pot again, it is time to plant it in the final pot. Choose a pot carefully that provides the cucumber plant with the best conditions to grow for the best results.

The plants can be transplanted outdoors after hardening off and when the risk of frost is over and the night temperature does not fall below +8 degrees Celsius. The variety is perfect for growing in a larger pot or in a raised garden bed and does not need to be pollinated.
