Care and cultivation advice

Indoor sow in small pots from February to April. Fill the pots with 2/3 potting soil or vegetable soil and top with 1/3 seed soil. Try to keep the temperature around 22-25 degrees Celsius until the seeds have germinated and then reduce to 18-20 degrees Celsius. Make sure to store the seedlings in a bright location and water them gently.

When the roots start to appear on the bottom of the pot, it's time to transplant the plant into a slightly larger pot. This is called repotting. One tip is to prune the plants once during indoor cultivation for a bushier appearance, which also helps prevent the plants from becoming too tall and spindly.

Tomato plants should be planted outdoors after they have been properly hardened off and when the risk of frost is over and nighttime temperatures do not fall below 8 degrees Celsius. This variety needs to be staked and pruned in order to produce as many tomatoes as possible.

Remember to shake the tomato plants occasionally so that the sweet little yellow flowers are pollinated and deliver more tomatoes. Tomatoes also benefit from some extra care, so giving them a dose of plant food once a week increases the plant's chances of a bountiful harvest. Use plant food that is high in phosphorus and potassium, but avoid plant food that contains too much nitrogen, as it can give the tomatoes a bad taste.
