Description
A beautiful and reliable pole bean that produces nice, round, sturdy pods that are approximately 25 cm long.

The pods are of fantastic quality and are extra resilient to bad weather.

It is also resistant to many strains of mosaic virus and a great plus is that the pods remain harvest-ready for an unusually long time, which extends the harvesting period significantly.

It produces abundant harvests of plenty of amazing pods that can be enjoyed throughout the season. This variety is, for example, magical when sautéed with red onion, olive oil, garlic, salt, and a little white pepper.

Neckarkönigin is also fantastic to use in stir-fry dishes and an incredibly nutritious vegetable that works wonders for the body. A recurring favorite in the kitchen garden and in the kitchen!

Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly on the planting site in May-June when the soil temperature is at least 13-15 degrees Celsius. Make sure to water the soil before sowing and keep it moist throughout the germination period.

This variety can also be pre-grown indoors in planting soil. It is best to cover the sowing with transparent covering with air holes for optimal germination, but it can also be done without this step. Keep the sowing at a temperature around 25 degrees Celsius and in the brightest possible spot.

The plants can be planted outside when they have been hardened off properly and the risk of frost is over. Neckarkönigin thrives best in rich and moisture-retaining soil. It is advisable to cover the plants with a fiber cloth in the beginning to protect them. The variety needs plant support to spread out as the plants can grow up to 2m high.
