Description
NOTE.

Pre-order only, delivery in early September
Few single-flowered tulip varieties surpass our beloved favorite, Francoise.

With its incredibly long and sturdy stems, we spotted it for the first time from quite a distance.

The white beautiful flowers hovered slightly higher than all the others, capturing our curious gazes and immediately drawing us in.

In all its simplicity, Francoise can be one of the most beautiful things we have actually seen. It is a truly wonderful variety to have as a background plant or interwoven with other slightly taller varieties such as allium or the tulip variety Apricot Pride.

It is also great for cutting due to its unusually long stems.

Care and cultivation advice

You can plant your tulip bulbs from September until a week before the ground freezes. The bulbs are best planted as soon as you receive them, but if you're unable to do so, it is recommended to store them in a cool, dark, and dry place. Tulip bulbs thrive in well-drained soil. It's perfectly fine to plant tulip bulbs in a pot, but make sure to use a frost-resistant pot with drainage holes. To prevent the bulbs from freezing during winter, place the pot in a sheltered location and cover it with insulating material.

For a tulip bulb to start sprouting, it requires a continuous period of cold temperatures (below 9 degrees Celsius), which is why we plant them in autumn. When spring arrives and the soil warms up, the tulips will start emerging. Most varieties bloom beautifully in April to May.
