Ranunculus ‘Butterfly Eris is a magical variety in the Butterfly™ family, lovingly developed through Japanese breeding by Aya Engei. This cultivar captivates with its double-shaped blooms in soft salmon and coral tones. One of its best features is how the flowers gradually transition from one color to a lighter shade over time.
Typically, each stem carries five to seven blooms, offering arrangements a delightful balance of fullness and airiness. The tiny, wax-like coating on the petals gives them a pearlescent finish, making them appear enchantingly shimmering and offering long-lasting vase life. The stems are both sturdy and graceful, strong enough to support the flowers elegantly without being hollow, making the cut blooms exceptionally durable and reliable.
Butterfly Eris holds a special place in the heart of Johanna Damm, Florea’s dedicated growing expert, it&#8217;s her absolute ranunculus favorite. Each year, she grows it both as cut blooms and charming potted specimens.

Ranunculus – Romance Maritime

Ranunculus ‘Romance Maritime is a magnificent addition to the Romance™ series, developed by the Japanese breeder Aya Engei. This variety is distinguished by its exceptionally large, velvety blooms that start in creamy yellow and transition into a soft, blush pink.
The stems are remarkably sturdy and can reach an impressive 70 cm in length. Romance Maritime also boasts outstanding vase life, making it the ultimate ranunculus for cut flowers. The solid (non-hollow) stems make it especially well-suited for rigorous growing conditions and handling in floriculture. Of all the beautiful ranunculus varieties available, this one is our absolute favorite, thanks to its stunning appearance and amazing characteristics!

Ranunculus Romance Salerno is a remarkable variety in the Romance™ series, bred by the Japanese breeder Aya Engei. It bears graceful, double blooms in warm salmon-pink to peach tones.

Butterfly Ranunculus - Musa

The butterfly buttercup Musa caught our interest immediately the first time we saw the variety. So much so that we immediately started looking for it to be able to include it in our assortment. The fluffy leaves have beautiful, pink-rusty tones that become slightly lighter the more the flowers bloom. The eye in the center of the flower starts out as yellow and then darkens which is adorable.
Musa is incredible as a cut flower thanks to its long durability in a vase, which is also one of the big reasons why we like this variety so much. We love to mix Musa with different flower bulbs in bouquets such as tulips, narcissus and alliums or some beautiful sprigs of eucalyptus.

Butterfly Ranunculus - Ariadne

This beautiful butterfly ranunculus makes our floral hearts go wild. The fluffy, white flowers give a romantic expression and really create magic in the flower bed or entrance pot. When the flowers bloom, you see the beautiful dark eye in the middle and all the innermost petals show a soft pink blush that is incredible.
Adriane is an incredible cut flower that is just as beautiful in the budded state as it is in full bloom. The variety lasts a long time in a vase and has become very popular lately to use in different types of flower arrangements, either by itself or mixed with other flower varieties. If you&#8217;ve never grown butterfly ranunculus before, we highly recommend you try it because it&#8217;s an enchanting experience for the eyes!

Ranunculus – Romance Courchevel

Ranunculus ‘Romance Courchevel’ is a stately beauty in the Romance™ series, cultivated by the acclaimed Japanese breeder Aya Engei. Its double, plush blooms exhibit an uncompromising snow-white hue and span an ample 8.5–9 cm in diameter—magical clusters that exude both volume and elegance. These blooms are carried atop long, sturdy stems ranging from 60 to 75 cm, featuring solid structure that makes the variety exceptionally cut-flower friendly and resilient during handling.
The typically clean foliage of Romance varieties reinforces the refined impression and simplifies harvesting. Romance ‘Courchevel’ is particularly valued in the floral world for its long vase life and immaculate appearance. It’s a cultivar that instantly captivated us at Florea and truly took our breath away.

Anemone - Mistral Pale

Mistral Pale is a delicate, sophisticated variety from the esteemed and prestigious Mistral series. Bred in Italy, its snowy-white blooms made our floral hearts at Florea leap the moment we saw it in bloom with our growers in Italy.
This variety was personally selected for our collection by our creative guide and photographer, Anna Kubel. Today, Mistral Pale is a definite favorite in the very first bouquets she picks–and it’s practically indispensable in her garden.

Anemone - Levante Azzurro

Levante Azzurro is a sophisticated and elegant variety from the exclusive Italian Levante series, carefully bred to combine silky, generously shaped petals with a refined color palette and sturdy stem structure. The flowers unfold in clear lavender-blue tones, often revealing a subtle silver shimmer depending on the light. At the center lies a dark core surrounded by blue-black stamens, lending depth and character. With a height of approximately 20–30 cm, the plant presents its blooms firmly on strong, upright stems making it perfect for cutting, container display, or the garden bed.
It’s no secret that this anemone is Florea founder Erik Hoekstra’s personal favorite. He often pairs it with grape hyacinths in container plantings. He finds their overlapping blooms and dégradé effect in shaded entrance pots truly make a winning display.

Amaryllis - Magic Green

Amaryllis ‘Magic Green’ radiates a rare and captivating blend of colors where pistachio green and ivory white mingle with subtle hints of rose-red feathering that enhance the petals. The large trumpet-shaped blooms carry a soft green glow in the center that transitions toward lighter tones at the edges. A deep green throat adds dimension and draws the eye to the flower’s core. No wonder this variety is a favorite of many.
The stems often reach around fifty to sixty centimeters. Each bulb can produce several flower stalks, with multiple blossoms per stalk, sometimes simultaneously or staggered, which makes the flowering period abundantly long.

Amaryllis - Mini Green Valley

Amaryllis ‘Green Valley’ belongs to the Cybister group and stands out with its softly green petals that open in a bright green shade and gradually turn into a gentle green-white hue over time. In the flower there is also a deeper, almost emerald green throat that adds depth and character.
The petals are narrower and more pointed than in many of the classic saucer-shaped amaryllis types, giving ‘Green Valley’ a more elegant, defined silhouette. Its long, strong stems, unique blossoms and excellent vase life make this variety very popular among florists.

Peony - Coral Charm

Coral Charm is an absolutely fantastic peony that is immensely popular as it produces lots of semi-double flowers that begin their bloom in an apricot-pink color that turns whiter the longer it blooms. It&#8217;s a reliable variety that blooms abundantly in both sunny and partially shaded locations. It grows upright but may need some support; otherwise, it is very low-maintenance. Coral Charm is at its most striking when the bush has flowers at various stages, some softly pink and others white.

Peony - Jan Van Leeuwen

Jan van Leeuwen, with its classic name that is not so easy to pronounce, is a wonderful single-flowering peony that smells delightful. White petals with their yellow center make it a very characteristic flower. A very reliable variety that may take some extra time to establish itself, but once it has done so, it provides fantastic flowers year after year. Sturdy stems ensure that it stands firm in rain and wind and is excellent as a cut flower.
When you have received your bare-rooted peony, we recommend that you plant it immediately. It is best to plant peonies in the fall, but it is also fine to do it during the spring and summer. If the ground is frozen, we recommend placing it in a slightly larger pot until it is to be planted in its final location. Then store it in a dry and cool place. Read further down for detailed planting instructions on how to plant peonies.

Sea Shell is a simple flowering peony with a lovely scent. It has strong stems that make it ideal for picking as a cut flower. It begins its flowering in a rather strong pink colour, but the longer it flowers, the more it shifts towards white. A wonderful flower to have at home and follow the change in colour. We love it!
