Description
This is such a new variety for us that we only tasted it at our supplier's last summer.

We were enchanted by the vivid color of the tomatoes and the incredibly sweet taste that made it impossible to try just one - we ended up eating a handful.

The combination of the unique appearance and delicious taste made us want to include Dattolime F1 in our assortment.

The cherry tomatoes are lime-white in color and taste just as good fresh as they do when dried, giving them a tempting raisin-like flavor. Since this variety is so new on the market, all of us in the Florea team will be growing it this summer and will return with more information and more pictures of this wonderful tomato! (The variety is high-growing).

Care and cultivation advice

Start indoors in small pots from February to April. Fill the pots with 2/3 potting soil or vegetable soil and top with 1/3 seed soil. Try to keep the seeds at around 22-25 degrees Celsius until they sprout, and then reduce the temperature to 18-20 degrees Celsius. Make sure to keep the seedlings in a bright location and water them gently.

When the roots begin to show through the bottom of the seedling pot, it's time to transplant the plant into a slightly larger pot, also known as "potting up." It's recommended to pinch the plants once during indoor cultivation for a bushier appearance, which will prevent the plants from becoming too "leggy."

Tomato plants should be planted outdoors after being properly hardened off when the risk of frost is over and the nighttime temperature does not fall below 8 degrees Celsius. This variety needs to be staked and pruned in order to produce as many tomatoes as possible.

Remember to shake the tomato plant occasionally so that the sweet little yellow flowers are pollinated and deliver more tomatoes. Tomatoes also benefit from a little pampering, so providing the plants with some plant food once a week increases their chances of a bountiful harvest. Use plant food that is high in phosphorus and potassium, but avoid food that contains too much nitrogen as it can give the tomatoes a bad taste.
