Description
With its unique dark red color, sweet taste, and appetizing flesh, Black Cherry is a popular cherry tomato that has found its way into many hearts.

A very productive variety with beautiful clusters that also works well for drying and gives a delicious raisin-like flavor.

The tomatoes are juicy with a strong flavor and a balanced sweetness with a slight hint of acidity.

The variety has its roots in Russia but is now most famous in France, thanks to its full-bodied taste. The variety is easy to grow, starts ripening early, and provides a rich harvest throughout the season until the frost arrives.

It is robust and tough, which means that it produces tomatoes even in poor years when the summer season hasn't been the best, and many other varieties have failed. - Black Cherry, simply a variety to love! (The variety is tall-growing)

Care and cultivation advice

Start by pre-cultivating indoors in smaller pots from February to April. Fill the pots with 2/3 planting soil or vegetable soil and top with 1/3 seed soil. Try to maintain the temperature around 22-25 degrees Celsius until the seeds germinate, then reduce to 18-20 degrees Celsius. Ensure that the seedlings are stored in a bright place and water them gently.

When the roots appear at the bottom of the seedling container, it's time to repot the plant into a slightly larger pot, also known as transplanting. It is recommended to top the plants once during indoor cultivation to promote a bushier appearance, which also prevents the plants from becoming too "leggy".

Tomato plants should be planted outdoors after being adequately hardened off and when the risk of frost is over, and the nighttime temperature is above 8 degrees Celsius. This variety needs to be tied up and pruned to produce as many tomatoes as possible.

Remember to shake the tomato plants occasionally to ensure that the sweet little yellow flowers are pollinated and will deliver more tomatoes. Tomatoes also like to be pampered, so giving the plants a little bit of plant food once a week increases the chances of a bountiful harvest. Use plant food that is rich in phosphorus and potassium, but avoid excessive nitrogen as it can give the tomatoes an unpleasant taste.
