Description
The enchanting giant poppy Coral Reef will make anyone drop their jaw.

A magical perennial that produces large, beautiful coral-colored flowers that can grow up to 10 cm in size.

The silky-like leaves appear to dance when the wind blows through the flower, and are a pure delight to the eye.

The stems are sturdy and robust, which makes it fantastic to have in bouquets.

A tip from us at Florea is to also use the seed pods of Coral Reef, which become a beautiful and stylish addition to a bouquet.

The seed pods can also be beautiful to use dried for crafts or decor. Since the variety is recurring, it is incredible in a perennial bed or in a place where it can come back year after year to show off its beautiful coral-colored attire.

It is highly appreciated by all our pollinators, and you often see bumblebees resting inside the flower. (This variety should not be eaten as it may be poisonous)

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-grow giant poppies February-March by sowing in seed soil indoors at around 20-22 °C. Feel free to cover the seed with a transparent cover equipped with air holes. Place in a bright and cool place after germination at around 15-18 °C. Plant out after softening and when the risk of frost is over. Coral thrives best in a sunny location.

This variety can also be sown outdoors in pots or in the open field from May to September and then planted out in the growing area the following autumn or next spring.

(This variety must not be eaten as it can be poisonous).
