Description
A fantastic Sea Lavender (statice) in a beautiful white color that with its fantastic shape has become an obvious favorite to use in bouquets, flower arrangements and wreaths.

Easy to grow and useful for many things as it is just as beautiful fresh as dried. This is our cultivation expert Johanna Damm's big favorite.

During the summer, half of the harvest is used extensively in fresh bouquets and the other half is dried to be used for perpetual bouquets and wreaths later in the year.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow indoors in seed soil in March-April, preferably cover the seed with a transparent cover with air holes for best germination results. Store the seedlings at room temperature before germination and after germination in a cool and bright place. The seedlings are transplanted to one seedling per pot in fertilized soil when they are large enough to handle.

Plant out when they have hardened off properly and the risk of frost is over. Thrives best in a sunny spot in sandy soil. Fertilize sparingly during the season.

Sea Lavender can also be sown directly on the site but should be pre-grown for a better result.

(For drying of the flowers, they should be harvested before the flowers are fully developed)
