The climbing nasturtium Purple Emperor is a unique and expressive variety that truly catches the eye.

The flowers shimmer in deep purple tones with a velvety sheen and can shift slightly toward reddish-purple in sunlight.

The color is rich yet refined, creating a beautiful contrast against the fresh green foliage.The plant has a lively, trailing growth habit and happily climbs along trellises and fences, but it also works beautifully as ground cover or in hanging baskets where the vines can cascade freely.

An easy-to-grow variety that can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly on the site in April-June when the soil is warm and ready for use. Place the seeds in lukewarm water 24 hours before sowing to improve germination. The variety thrives best in light and not too nutrient-rich soil, as this produces the most flowers. Preferably in a sunny spot or partial shade.

A tip to get a more lush cress is to cut off wilted flowers as you go!

Creeping watercress is also very sensitive to frost, so cover with a non-woven fabric in the evening if the nights start to get a little colder for a longer flowering season
