A very traditional herb with powerful, stylish, green leaves. Both the scent and the taste are fresh and lemon-like. The use of lemon balm is vast, but the variety is primarily known for its calming and sedative effect. It is well known that supplementation with lemon balm can lower blood pressure and pulse, but it can also suppress viral infections. In popular culture, the variety is often referred to as "heart's delight" thanks to its incredible properties.
Lemon balm is very useful in the kitchen and is now found in dishes and desserts all over the world. Oven-baked chicken with lemon balm and roasted almonds, and lemon balm ice cream with meringue and honey are two of our favorite recipes using this lovely herb. Lemon balm tea or pesto made from the variety is also delicious!

Care and cultivation advice
Sow indoors in seed soil in pots or boxes in March-April. When the roots become visible on the underside of the pot, it's time to replant the plant into a larger pot with planting soil or vegetable soil. The variety is planted outdoors when properly hardened off and the risk of frost is over.
It can also be sown directly in the planting area when the soil is warmed up. It is recommended to cover the variety with spruce branches, leaves, or compost during winter.
(Important to note with this variety is that it spreads quickly and easily takes over.)
