Description

Nasturtium ‘Tip Top Pink Blush’ is a softly coloured variety whose flowers shimmer in delicate shades of pink with a hint of apricot.

The variety belongs to the well-known Tip Top series, admired for its healthy, compact plants and abundant flowering.

The blooms rise gracefully above the round, fresh green foliage, giving the plant a slightly wild yet natural appearance.

It flowers continuously from early summer until autumn and is just as beautiful in pots as in larger plantings where it can spread freely.

The flowers, leaves and seed pods are not only decorative but also edible and make a delightful garnish for dishes, adding a mild, peppery flavour reminiscent of rocket.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow directly on the site in April-June when the soil is warm and ready for use. Place the seeds in lukewarm water 24 hours before sowing to improve germination. The variety thrives best in light and not too nutrient-rich soil, as this is when most flowers are produced. Preferably in a sunny spot or partial shade.

A tip to get a more lush cress is to cut off wilted flowers as you go!

Creeping watercress is also very sensitive to frost, so cover with a non-woven fabric in the evening if the nights start to get a little colder for a longer flowering season
