Description
An old-fashioned and strong-growing variety with plate-sized, golden yellow flowers with a dark center.

The plant is incredibly tall and therefore very decorative against fences, walls, or in the background of plantings.

The variety is highly appreciated by pollinators such as butterflies, bees, and bumblebees, as well as by winter birds that like to eat the seeds in the center when the season draws to a close. This is a clear favorite among our youngest gardeners.

The seeds are large and easy to sow, and the sunflower's journey of development is incredibly fun to follow.

Many children become very excited about how quickly they grow and how incredibly tall they can become.

When the sunflower reaches a height of 2-3 meters, not only our youngest but also everyone else is impressed by the enormous and sunny yellow flower.

Care and cultivation advice

Start indoors in March-April in planting soil, one seed per pot. Try to maintain a temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius before and after germination, and keep the seedlings in a bright and cool location. When the roots start to peek out from the bottom of the pots, it's time to transplant them into larger ones.

Plant the seedlings outdoors when they have been properly hardened off and the risk of frost has passed. Sunflowers prefer a sunny location and plenty of space for their roots. They thrive in nutrient-rich planting soil, and for particularly tall sunflowers, we recommend fertilizing and providing additional nutrients throughout the growing season.

This variety can also be sown directly in the planting area in May-June, but it will result in slightly later blooming.
