Lemon produces plenty of delicate cucumbers with a round shape in a beautiful yellow-white-green color.

The spherical cucumbers have both a tanginess and sweetness that work excellently in salads.

It is easy to grow and provides a plentiful harvest through the season.

It also fits very well for pickling in all its forms. This is our gardening expert Johanna Damm's absolute favorite, and at her home, it is cultivated not only in the garden and greenhouse but also indoors on a cucumber trellis in the kitchen window.

Care and cultivation advice

Plant one seed in each small pot/container filled with planting soil or vegetable soil, cover with a transparent cover provided with air holes. Make sure to water both before and after sowing, the variety thrives best in a mini greenhouse or a temperature around 25°C at the beginning. When the seeds have germinated, the seedlings should be kept in a bright and cool place, preferably around 15-18°C if possible. The plants should be transplanted after hardening off properly and when the temperature does not drop below 8°C for all hours of the day. This variety prefers a protected and sunny location such as a greenhouse or a warm outdoor spot against a wall. Remember to give it nutrition and to water it adequately but evenly throughout the entire summer season for a bountiful harvest.
