Description

Narcissus 'Sir Winston Churchill' is a classic and fragrant narcissus with double blooms in cream white and soft apricot-orange.

The elegant flowers sit in clusters on sturdy stems and bloom over an extended period.

This variety thrives best in sun to light shade in well-drained soil where it faithfully returns year after year.

It is equally well suited to borders and natural plantings as to containers, and is also appreciated as a cut flower thanks to its strong fragrance and long vase life.

Like many other narcissus, it is also left undisturbed by deer and other animals.

Care and cultivation advice

You can plant your narcissus bulbs from September until about a week before the ground freezes. The bulbs are best planted right after you receive them, but if you're unable to do so, we recommend storing them in a cool, dark, and dry place. Narcissus bulbs thrive in well-draining soil. One great advantage of narcissus is that they are often completely deer-proof.

Plant the bulbs about 15cm deep and approximately 10cm apart. Narcissus usually bloom a little earlier than tulips, typically from March to May.
