Care and cultivation advice

Start indoors in small pots from February to April. Fill the pots with 2/3 potting soil or vegetable soil and top with 1/3 seed soil. Try to keep the soil around 22-25 degrees Celsius until the seeds have sprouted, and then around 18-20 degrees Celsius. Make sure to store the seedlings in as much light as possible and water them gently.

When the roots start to appear at the bottom of the seedling pot, it is time to transplant the plant into a slightly larger pot, a process known as "potting up". One tip is to pinch back the plant once during indoor cultivation for a bushier appearance, which also helps prevent the plants from getting too "leggy".

Tomato plants should be transplanted outdoors after being hardened off properly and when the risk of frost is over and nighttime temperatures are no lower than 8 degrees Celsius. This variety needs to be staked and pruned to produce as many tomatoes as possible.

Remember to shake the tomato plant from time to time so that the sweet little yellow flowers are pollinated and produce more tomatoes. Tomatoes also benefit from reYellowar care, so giving the plants a little plant food once a week increases their chances of a bountiful harvest. Use plant food that is rich in phosphorus and potassium, but avoid fertilizers that contain too much nitrogen, as this can give the tomatoes a poor flavor.
