One of Hanna Wendelbo's great favorites, at her home, you'll find the Boxwood eucalyptus everywhere in both small and large formats.

The beauty of eucalyptus lies in its ability to be dried, adding a very decorative touch to everlasting bouquets, for example. Eucalyptus plants can become quite old and large if stored in a bright and frost-free environment during the winter months.

Care and cultivation advice

Indoor seedlings should be started in seed soil with a transparent cover equipped with air holes or a layer of vermiculite at around 20-22 degrees Celsius. When the seeds have germinated, the sowing should be kept in a bright and cool location at around 15-20 degrees Celsius. The plants are transplanted after hardening off and when the risk of frost has passed.

The plant thrives best in acidic soil with a low pH value. We strongly recommend using Rhododendron soil. Since eucalyptus has constant root growth, it doesn’t like to be transplanted too many times. Therefore, it may be a good idea to plant it in a larger pot at once when it will be transplanted to its final location.

(Eucalyptus can survive the winter in frost-free areas.)
