Ammi majus, also known as Lacy white flowers, is a stunningly beautiful flower that is exceptional in bouquets.

It has beautiful lace-like flowers that sit in large clusters over the foliage and is commonly referred to as lace flower.

The variety is equally stunning fresh or dried, which makes it incredibly popular in bouquet arrangements.

In addition to being strikingly beautiful in bouquets, it is also absolutely gorgeous in borders and plantings. Lacy white flowers originates from southern Europe, North Africa, and Asia.

It has been used by humans since the Stone Age, not only for decorative purposes but also as a medicinal plant, which it is still used for today. A big plus for this fantastic variety is that it is highly appreciated by all our pollinators.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow indoors in seed compost with transparent covering in April, provided with air holes. The plants are then transplanted after hardening off and when the risk of frost is over. Lacy white flowers thrives in both sun and partial shade but prefers nutrient-rich and well-draining soil. This variety can also be sown directly in the planting area in May-June. Make sure to water the soil before sowing and keep it moist during the entire germination period.
