Description
Nice aromatic green foliage with flavor and scent of fresh lemon.

Excellent in salads, as a topping, with fish or in vinegar.

The leaves are medium-sized and can be used both fresh and dried in tea which is a real treat. We highly recommend making ricotta salmon with potatoes and lemon butter sauce topped with lemon basil, a clear favorite with this variety. If you have lemon basil in the greenhouse, in the conservatory or on the windowsills, it smells absolutely wonderful! (A big plus for this variety is that it is also organic!)

Care and cultivation advice

Start the indoor cultivation in March-April using seed soil and plant or vegetable soil. It's best to cover the seedlings with transparent cover with air holes for better germination, but the variety thrives best in a mini greenhouse. Water gently or use a flower sprayer to moisten the seeds. When the roots begin to emerge from the seedling pot, it's time to replant them in a larger pot.

The variety can be transplanted when the plants have been properly acclimated and the risk of night frost has passed.

A tip is to top the plants to encourage branching and a bushier growth pattern!
