Description
This lovely cosmos variety makes our flower hearts do cartwheels.

The fairy-tale-like flowers can be as big as a palm and the petals are thin with a wavy and decorative edge.

Cupcake Blush has been given its wonderful name thanks to its delightful muffin-shaped flowers and irresistible pink color palette. A fantastic variety to plant in pots and flower beds to create both height and dimension in the garden.

Cupcake Blush is also a wonderful cut flower and creates the most beautiful bouquets, either on its own or mixed with other summer flowers. Loved by all pollinators!

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-sow indoors in seed soil during March-April, preferably cover the sowing with transparent cover with air holes. When the seeds have sprouted, the sowing should be kept cool and as bright as possible for best results. To get many fabulous flowers, the Rose Campion plants need to be topped. This is done to stimulate the plant to produce more lateral shoots, which means more buds and flowers. A tip from us is to top/cut it just above the second or third pair of leaves.

The plants are transplanted when they have been hardened off properly and the risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny location, as this is when it blooms the most, but the variety can also grow in semi-shade. Rose Campion thrives best in rich, sandy soil with not too much nutrients. If it gets too much nutrition, it will develop a lot of foliage but unfortunately very few flowers.

(The variety can also be sown directly on the planting site when the soil has warmed up and can be used, but then it will have a slightly later bloom.)
