Description
Let us introduce the cosmos of all cosmoses, the fabulous Snow Puff.

With its unique appearance, this variety has taken all of us at Florea by storm.

Snow Puff's flowers are fully double, giving a fluffy and soft impression.

The ball-like flowers are pure white, and among all the beautiful petals, one can glimpse a yellow center disk.

The foliage is green, long, and dill-like. Snow Puff is perfect for cutting and is magical in bouquets.

It is lovely on its own or mixed with other wonderful summer flowers.

The variety is also incredibly decorative in flower beds, where it blooms abundantly and magnificently until the frost takes it. A big plus for Snow Puff is that it is both easy to grow and popular with all of our pollinators.

A real favorite and definitely a cosmos variety that we hold extra close to our hearts at Florea!

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-sow indoors in seed soil during March-April, preferably cover the sowing with transparent cover with air holes. When the seeds have sprouted, the sowing should be kept cool and as bright as possible for best results. To get many fabulous flowers, the Rose Campion plants need to be topped. This is done to stimulate the plant to produce more lateral shoots, which means more buds and flowers. A tip from us is to top/cut it just above the second or third pair of leaves.

The plants are transplanted when they have been hardened off properly and the risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny location, as this is when it blooms the most, but the variety can also grow in semi-shade. Rose Campion thrives best in rich, sandy soil with not too much nutrients. If it gets too much nutrition, it will develop a lot of foliage but unfortunately very few flowers.

(The variety can also be sown directly on the planting site when the soil has warmed up and can be used, but then it will have a slightly later bloom.)

Can also be sown in the fall for bloom the following year. Sow directly in the soil before the frost comes.
