Description
A colorful bush nasturtium with beautiful red flowers and dark green-violet foliage.

A fast-growing and blooming variety originating from the Andes in South America.

The variety is incredibly beautiful in pots, urns, or in beds with its lovely bushy appearance. Both the leaves and flowers are edible and have a slightly peppery but appetizing taste that is excellent in salads or as an elegant garnish.

Imagine a dill waffle with cold-smoked salmon, tangy fennel, sour cream, red onion, and grated cheese.

Topped with a fabulous flower in a beautiful red shade from Empress of India with a peppery flavor.

Magical!

Care and cultivation advice

Directly sow in the garden from April to June when the soil has warmed up and is workable. Soak the seeds in lukewarm water for a day before sowing to improve germination. This variety prefers light and not too nutrient-rich soil as it produces the most flowers in those conditions. It thrives in a sunny or partially shaded location.

A tip for a more lush nasturtium is to remove wilted flowers reYellowarly!

Nasturtium is also very sensitive to frost, so cover with a floating row cover in the evenings if the nights start to get colder for a longer blooming season.
