Description
This variety has a spicy and strong flavor of basil with a small hint of anise.

The plant has a beautiful dark purple stem with attractive pinkish-purple flowers.

The leaves are used in many Thai dishes, usually fresh but also dried.

In addition to the plant's edible properties, the variety is also known for being used as an ornamental plant in pots and flower arrangements. We highly recommend making a coconut curry with ginger, chickpeas, and Thai basil, or a refreshing herb lemonade with lime and Thai basil using this delightful variety.

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivate indoors in seed soil from March to April in planting soil or vegetable soil. It is recommended to cover the seeds with a transparent cover with air holes for optimal germination results, but the variety thrives best in a mini greenhouse. Water gently or use a plant mister to moisten the seeds. When the roots start to appear under the seed pot, it is time to transplant them into a larger pot.

The variety can be planted outside when the plants have been properly hardened off and the risk of night frost is over.

A tip is to top the plants to encourage branching and a bushier growth habit!
