Description
Note: Printing error on the bag, number of seeds is 10 Strawberry Baron von Solemacher has truly become a favorite here in the garden.

Not only is it early and extremely productive, but it has also proven to be remarkably resistant to cold, pests, and diseases.

The best part is that we get to enjoy the very first harvest already in the first year after planting – from June until the first frost.

The berries, weighing approximately 3–5 g, are not only beautiful but also fragrant and sweet. This variety has its roots in Germany, yielding large red berries that can reach up to 2.5 cm in size.

Strawberries require minimal maintenance, and we are rewarded with an abundance of sweet strawberries throughout the summer.

The variety can be grown in the garden or in pots. It's almost like a journey back in time when we think that this variety was first sold by FC Heinemann, a German seed merchant, as early as 1935.

Imagine that strawberries have likely brought joy to garden enthusiasts long before our time.

And the best part is that it's not just us adults who love them – our children are equally delighted.

Watching them pick strawberries directly from the plant is truly a delight for both the garden and the soul.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow indoors in small pots or outdoors in the planting area when the soil is workable. Seeds germinate best at around 18 degrees Celsius. A tip to enhance germination is to cold-stratify the seeds for 2-4 weeks beforehand, for example, in a refrigerator. Once in the soil, try to keep the soil moist during the germination process. When a small plant with leaves emerges, the roots need more space; then, replant it into a larger pot. When the risk of frost is completely over outdoors, it's time to plant the seedlings. Don't forget to gradually acclimate them to the outdoor climate. Strawberries are easy to grow and perennial, so keep that in mind when choosing a spot in the garden.
