California Poppy Seeds

California poppy, or Eschscholzia californica as it is called in Latin, is a charming poppy plant that grows wild in Mexico and the United States, among other places. There are both perennial and annual varieties, and many different types in all possible colors, but they all have one thing in common - they are incredibly easy to grow. California poppy is sown directly in the planting location and grows in most soils as long as it gets sun. It is a grateful and loyal summer flower that does not require much care. A big plus is that it can withstand some drought, which means it survives most things. The lovely flower has been given its name because, unlike many other summer flowers, it starts blooming somewhat later in the morning. In other words, it likes to sleep in, but those who wait for something good never wait too long. Because when it finally blooms, it is a fairy-tale sight until the sun goes down and it closes its petals again.
