Sea lavender comes in several colours despite its name, not just blue. We have a fantastic variety in our assortment called Fortune Apricot Shades. It has a soft pink/apricot colour.
Sea lavender is often well suited as a cut flower thanks to its sturdy stems and good vase life. It can also be dried as an everlasting, which means it can be turned into a so-called eternity flower. Sea lavender is dried by tying it by the stems and hanging it upside down. To be classified as an everlasting, the flower must retain its colour and shape reasonably well after drying.
Sea lavender seeds - a beautiful plant to grow
Welcome to us and our rich collection of seeds for all kinds of growers. Among our carefully selected range you will find, among other things, sea lavender seeds, a magnificent summer flower that is both hardy and beautiful.
Sea lavender, or Limonium sinuatum as it is also called, is a much-loved plant in Nordic gardens. With its characteristic lilac-blue flowers it adds a strong splash of colour to the border, and it has a way of spreading joy through its beauty.
Sowing sea lavender seeds
Sowing sea lavender seeds does not take much time or knowledge. All you need to do is place them on the surface of well-drained soil and cover them lightly with a little more soil. Then water the soil thoroughly but avoid overwatering. After that, all it takes is a little patience before the small plants start to appear.
Once your plants have a few leaves, they can be planted outdoors when the risk of frost has passed. Remember to give them a sunny or partly sunny spot where the soil does not dry out too quickly - that is when your sea lavender seeds really come into their own!
Create biodiversity with your own growing
When you choose to grow sea lavender from seed, you are not only contributing to a beautiful garden, but also to greater biodiversity. The flowers attract pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies. In that way, your choice of seeds can make a big difference to the environment we all share.
From seed to beauty in your own garden
Watching the small plants push up through the soil is a wonderful experience. With our quality-assured sea lavender seeds you get to be part of the whole journey - from the tiny seed, through the exciting germination period, until it finally stands there in full bloom.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced grower, the process will bring you both joy and learning - exactly what we believe all growing should be.
We would love to share our passion for growing with you and inspire more people to try life as a home grower. So why not start today? Try some of our selected varieties and discover how much fun it can be! And who knows, maybe your new favourites will be among these lovely sea lavender seeds?
