The grape hyacinth ‘Baby’s Breath’ is a charming and slightly more unusual variety, with its light blue, almost silvery flower clusters.

The tiny, closely packed blooms form an elegant, cone-shaped spike that rises 10–25 cm above the ground, creating a soft and dreamy effect.

It blooms from early to mid-spring and looks best when planted in groups, where its delicate blue hue can truly shine.

We especially love it paired with white daffodils or soft pink tulips.

‘Baby’s Breath’ is incredibly easy to grow and thrives in sun to light shade.

It’s well suited for borders, containers, rock gardens, or as ground cover beneath shrubs—and just like other grape hyacinths, it reliably returns year after year.

(Not favored by deer or other animals, so it gets to bloom in peace!)

Care and cultivation advice

You can plant your bulbs from September right up until about a week before the ground freezes. For best results, plant them as soon as possible after receiving them. If you're unable to do so right away, we recommend storing them in a cool, dark, and dry place until planting time.

Bulbs thrive in well-drained soil. They can also be planted in pots—just make sure to use a frost-resistant container with drainage holes at the bottom. To protect the bulbs from freezing during winter, place the pot in a sheltered spot and cover it with insulating material, such as bubble wrap, burlap, or dry leaves.

Delivery and shipping information

All orders received before 12:00 pm are shipped the same day. We send directly to your mailbox via UPS, DHL or Postnord and expect your delivery to arrive 3-6 days after we receive your order.

We carefully pack the seed bags in 100% plastic-free climate-compensated packaging. In addition, we also choose to climate-compensate all our deliveries. For 2024 we have chosen a project that is very close to our hearts - the Swedish forrest and its diversity - which we support through a project called Fightcotwo.
