Care and cultivation advice

Germinate 4-6 weeks before the plants are to be transplanted. Sow thinly on damp seed compost and ensure that the soil is kept moist during the entire germination period. Cover the seed bed with a clear covering with air holes for best results, but this step is not necessary. When the seeds have germinated, the seed bed should be kept cool and as light as possible. When the plants have grown a bit, they are planted in individual pots with vegetable soil or planting soil. Use grow lights for thick and lush plants.

The transplanting takes place when the plants have hardened off properly and the risk of frost is over. The broccoli plants should be planted slightly deeper than they stood in the seed tray. This variety prefers well-fertilized and nutritious soil with a high lime content. Use a fiber cloth or cabbage net to protect the plants from pests.

This variety can also be sown directly in the field when the soil temperature is at least 5 degrees, but germination is recommended.
