Statice ‘Qis Pale Blue’ is a delicate and long-lasting summer flower that adds a soft blue tone to both borders and bouquets.

The variety belongs to the well-known Qis series, appreciated for its uniform plants, abundant flowering and strong stems.

Qis Pale Blue produces a profusion of small, papery blooms in gentle light-blue shades that retain their colour beautifully, even after drying.The plant has a well-branched habit and healthy green foliage that highlights the cool tones of the flowers.

It is easy to grow, drought-tolerant, and equally well suited for professional cut flower production as for home gardens.

Care and cultivation advice

Sow indoors in seed soil in March-April, preferably cover the seed with a transparent cover with air holes for best germination results. Store the seedlings at room temperature before germination and after germination in a cool and bright place. The plants are transplanted to one plant per pot in fertilized soil when they are large enough to handle.

Plant out when they have hardened off properly and the risk of frost is over. Thrives best in a sunny spot in sandy soil. Fertilize sparingly during the season.

Rice can also be sown directly on the site but should be pre-grown for better results.

(For drying the flowers, they should be harvested before the flowers are fully developed)
