Description
An amazing and preserved heirloom from 1888.

The Turnip Purple Top Milan produces white and flat-round roots with a purple-colored top just above the ground.

The variety's roots are particularly known for their mild but crisp taste and can be prepared in many different ways. At Florea, we recommend roasting the turnips with garlic, a bit of chili, salt, and a couple of fresh sprigs of thyme.

Incredibly delicious, but above all, a very decorative way to serve turnips!

Care and cultivation advice

The variety can be sown directly when the soil is warmed up. Be sure to water the soil before sowing and keep it moist through the germination period. To be able to harvest the whole season, we recommend sowing turnips repeatedly during the summer. The turnips can be harvested when they are about 5-8 cm.

The variety thrives in a sunny location in loamy soil.
