Description
An organic red cabbage that is well-known and celebrated for its fantastic qualities.

A very robust variety that maintains extremely high quality in terms of harvest, taste, and storage.

It produces medium to large cabbage heads and is highly resistant to rot.

It can be stored for an incredibly long time, unlike many other cabbage varieties. A famous dish at the Christmas table in Sweden.

Our founder, Erik Hoekstra, usually makes a red cabbage lasagna with feta cheese using Klimaro F1, a renowned dish that several others at Florea have embraced and has now started to become a bit of a tradition as the cold weather sets in. (This variety usually takes about 125 days from planting to harvest.)

Care and cultivation advice

Pre-cultivate indoors in seed soil from March to April. Cover the sowings with transparent covering equipped with air holes for the best germination results, but also works without this step. Place the sowings at around 20 degrees Celsius before germination, and after germination, provide more light and slightly cooler conditions. Plant out after they have been properly hardened off. (We recommend using cabbage netting to protect cabbage larvae.)
